The club

Hard work. Hometown court.

Spirit Volleyball Club is a 501(c)(3) built around a simple idea: southeast Iowa already has the talent. What it needed was a serious club that families could reach after school.

Lisa Knapp founded the club in December 2020 after years of driving her daughter Madalynn to programs in Iowa City and the Quad Cities.

Today Spirit is USA Volleyball affiliated. Coaches complete SafeSport training and background checks. Practices and home events run at Fun City Courts.

The standard

Play with Spirit

  • Skill development first — reps that translate to the next level.
  • A path toward high school impact and college recruiting conversations.
  • A family club that still keeps score. Fun is not the opposite of competitive.
  • Less windshield time. More time on the ball.
